Contents -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Introduction (prior section) 2. Contents (this section) 3. Enhancements 4. Fixes 5. Known Issues 6. Post-CD Fixes & Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------- 3. Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------- USER INTERFACE Added counters to the transmission center status bar, indicating how many Faxes and Emails were Sent and how many Failed. It is worth noting that the same task may fail several times, or fail and then succeed later. Changed the default behavior of the transmission center to NOT automatically minimize itself. Now the auto-minimize behavior is controlled by a menu-item on the Transmission Center 'Options' menu. Transmission Center user interface has been modified to create a cleaner interface, and to hide the transmission log memos. CUSTOM REPORTS Modified generate tasks routine to support custom result letter reports with the file name "RESLTTR*.RPT", with the exception of "RESLTTR.RPT" and "RESLTTR0.RPT". Place your custom result letter in ...\dp50\report_I folder. Allow selection of any report file as the custom fax report. DIAL SUFFIX Added long distance dial suffix to Informer communication settings. This number will be appended to every long distance number before dialing. Commas can be used to insert pauses in dialing. E-MAIL ENCRYPTION Added support for email encryption. Enter the customer's desired encryption password in the Company Preferences dialog, on the Email Settings page. (Omitting the password will cause emails to be transmitted without encyrption). Encrypted reports are included as attachments in the email. The encrypted attachments have the extension *.EEA ("Encrypted Email Attachment"). Customers can download a free decoder from http://drugpak.com/eea The EEA Decoder registers itself as the default handler for EEA files. The user needs only to "Open" the EEA attachment, and the EEA Decoder will be launched, prompting the user for their password. The user can then view and save the decrypted reports. You can set up your own web page with a link to the EEA decoder. However, to ensure that your link always provides an up-to-date version of the decoder, we recommend that you use the following URL in your link: http://drugpak.com/eeasetup The EEA Decoder is installed with every DP Informer Update. The DP Informer HELP menu includes a link to install the decoder. RESULT LETTER OPTIONS A new option has been added for Result Letters. The MRO signature image can be included on all letters, on no letters, or only on letters for negative results. To use this option, select "Always," "Never," or "Negatives" for "Result Letters - Print MRO Signature" on the DP Informer Module's General Options (Global Settings | DP Informer Module | General Options). The new option only applies to faxes and e-mails that use the "Letter Format" report style. TRANSMISSION CENTER NOTIFICATION Transmission Center now listens on UDP port 64121 for notification from DP Informer or the Automation Server when fax or email tasks have been generated. Upon receiving notification, the Transmission Center will abort its sleep cycle and begin transmitting immediately. MORE FLEXIBLE SENDER ADDRESS It is now easier to store the sender name as part of the From email address. Simply separate the name from the email address by at least one space. The Transmission Center looks for the "@" symbol to determine the email address. It removes that, and then everything else is treated like the name. Use quotes around the name if you want to include the @ symbol. All of the following examples are valid: "Support@DrugPak.Com" david@drugpak.com DrugPak Support support@drugpak.com david@drugpak.com David Goncalves BULK E-MAIL/FAXES Added a new "Broadcast Email/Fax Generator" tool on the toolbar and Tools menu. This has been corrected with a two-minute failsafe. -------------------------------------------------------- 5. Known Issues -------------------------------------------------------- You can keep up-to-date with the latest version of DrugPak by visiting our Update page on the web: http://drugpak.com/dpupdate -------------------------------------------------------- 6. Post-CD Fixes & Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------- 05/04/2005 Tweaked printer selection Local expert option 9/20/2005 Made some changes to further investigate reason for occasional hanging when closing the Generate Tasks dialog. 9/27/2005 An empty EEA file was being created for e-mails with no attachments. This no longer happens. Also, if there are no attachments, the e-mail subject is changed to "[Your company name from global preferences] Announcement". 11/16/2005 Finalized solution to "occasional hanging when closing the Generate Tasks dialog". Problem was due to a flaw in the fax printer driver interface component (not a Scanlon Associates product). Downloaded and compiled the patched interface source.
